Taylor Swift and Sophie Turner were spotted in NYC together and fans can’t help but wonder if the two friends are bonding over heartbreak from the same person.

Swifties (as Taylor Swift fans are called) will never forget the famous 25-second phone call break-up of Taytay and Joe Jonas that happened 15 years ago. While Taylor Swift’s romance with Joe Jonas was rather brief, Sophie on the other hand married the American singer in 2019 and share two children.

Taylor Swift and Sophie Turner’s latest dinner outing in NYC has fans thinking that the pair are either bonding over their shared ‘heartbreak’ or joking that they are simply creating some iconic paparazzi shots. Even before the split Soph and Joe, fans knew that Tay was friends with the couple as Sophie has told the media that Taylor is a ‘really sweet girl.’

The duo reportedly met for BBC One’s The Graham Norton Show in 2019 and, since then, music fans have got a glimpse of their chaotic friendship over the years.

Sophie even shared the song Mr. Perfectly Fine which is rumored to have been written about Joe on her Instagram even before their divorce. Now with Sophie’s divorce being confirmed, will Taylor and Sophie become besties once and for all?

Taylor once talked about her breakup with Joe

Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift’s celebrity relationship was short-lived but both artists were comfortable joking about it later on and remained on good terms. The Lover singer once revealed on the Ellen DeGeneres show that the breakup call between them lasted a mere 25 seconds.

“When I find that person that is right for me, he’ll be wonderful, and when I look at that person, I’m not even gonna be able to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18,” the daylight singer said at the time.

Years later, Joe appeared on a podcast and talked about his current dynamic with Taylor revealing, “I’m cool with Taylor. We’re cool.”
