Like many other standouts whose college football journeys have led to stints at East Mississippi Community College, adversity has been a significant theme for one of the most well-known sons of Taylorsville, Class of 2021 alum Ty Keyes. Embracing the opportunity for a reset in Scooba, however, allowed Keyes to reignite his passion for the game and learn what many others who have played for EMCC head coach Buddy Stephens know to be true — lions run faster when they’re hungry.
