Emma Sue Edison, 79, of Taylorsville died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel. She was born Monday, Dec. 19, 1938 in Taylorsville.

Visitation will be 10 a.m.-noon on Friday at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville. Funeral services will be at noon Friday at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville and the burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery. Brother Roy Crouch will officiate. 

Emma Sue was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother “Mamaw.” She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church of Ellisville. She loved her church and her church family.

She was preceded in death by husband Luther Edison; father James Allen; and mother Geneva Allen (Mother).

Survivors include daughters Linda Jones (Terry) and Wanda Byrd (Walt); grandsons Matthew Byrd (Jenny), Justin Jones (Laura), Bridgett Taylor (Alex) and Dylan Jones (Leah Brabham); granddaughter Kaitlyn Byrd; and great-granddaughters Kayley Byrd and Emma Catherine Jones.

Pallbearers will be Walt Byrd, Terry Jones, Curtis Little, Matthew Byrd, Justin Jones and Dylan Jones.

Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements.
